🤧 When Children Can Come to School
Children may attend school if they:
✔️ Feel well enough to participate in activities
✔️ Do not need more care than staff can safely provide
✔️ Do not pose a risk of spreading illness to others
🚫 When Children Must Stay Home
Children should stay home or be picked up if they:
❌ Are unable to participate comfortably
❌ Require one-on-one care
❌ Have symptoms that could spread illness
Examples include:
- Fever with behavior changes 🌡️
- Vomiting (2 or more times in 24 hours) 🤢
- Diarrhea not contained in a diaper
- Rash with fever
- Chickenpox, measles, mumps, or whooping cough
- Untreated head lice, ringworm, or scabies
- COVID-19 symptoms or a positive test 🦠
Return to school is based on health guidelines, not just improvement at home.
